Co-owner, BS, CPT, CES, Prenatal & Post-Partum Specialist, Senior Fitness

Hi! I’m Grace, Co-Owner and Coach at Success Fitness.

I came to Success Fitness for a continuing education workshop back in 2011, as a brand new trainer and immediately felt at home. I knew this was where I wanted to be!

Fast forward to 2019 and I became the proud new owner of my favorite gym!

Fast forward to 2020 and well – we all knew what happened then…
It’s been a wild, exhilarating ride and I’m so humbled by the love from our community that allows us to still be here today, doing what we love!

So what should you know about me as a trainer/person?

I’m a mom to two beautiful little girls and besides spending time with them, you can probably find me working in and on the business, working out, or studying. I also love volunteer work and strive to find an opportunity at least once a week to contribute to our community in some meaningful way be it at church, my daughters’ school, the local chamber, food shelf, donating training packages, you name it… I love to spread the love!

I’m not your typical trainer… I wasn’t a high school or college athlete. I’m not a fitness competitor-turned-trainer. I don’t have a personal weight loss journey to tell you about. But what I do have, is the story of taking my life back, and a passion to share that with others.

I experienced some pretty close calls with my health throughout high school and college. The doctor’s prognosis didn’t sit well with me, which was that I would be prone to these issues my whole life and probably continue to be in and out of the hospital.

I took it upon myself to learn all I could about my body and the impact of mindset, nutrition and exercise, and then thankfully had the wherewithal to implement all that I learned. That was over 15 years ago, and I haven’t been back in the hospital since.

After completing my undergraduate in Business Administration at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, I spent several years working in group homes, and managing a wellness center. These experiences inspired me to do more to help people, so I pursued my education in personal training.

I love working with individuals who are new or returning to exercise. I also have advanced certifications in prenatal and postpartum exercise, senior fitness, corrective exercise, and am currently pursuing my masters in Medical Sciences.

In general, I have an obscene amount of passion for helping people and seeing everyone realize their full potential!

I believe in lifestyle change for the long haul… so don’t come to me if you’re looking to lose a quick 20 pounds. I can certainly help you do that, but if you don’t adopt the mindset and habits of a person who is 20 pounds lighter, then you will gain it all right back (and probably more) and I’m not about that yoyo life.

I LOVE working with “The Masters” (70+ year old clients). We live in a time where modern medicine is always adding years to our lives, but not necessarily life to our years. Despite what many people in their 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s think – you CAN be stronger, fitter, faster, improve balance and have more energy at ANY age, IF you are willing to put in the work! Our bodies are SO adaptive and I have seen the progressions first hand in these individuals when they begin and stick to an exercise program.

I am currently on a waiting list for new clients, but if you would like to be added to the list, please contact me at: workoutwithgrace@gmail.com
